The brief
The Secret Sitting hosts invite-only evenings in Mumbai, and the whole point is that guests don’t know what’s coming. The website had to sell an experience it can’t describe: build intrigue without giving away places, screen the people who apply, and give the selected few a private way in.
The approach
Everything on the site holds something back. Guest stories arrive with the place names blacked out, past sittings are sealed, and the four-step ritual turns the selection itself into the pitch. Neon type on near-black and slow, smooth scrolling make the page feel like a door left slightly open.
What I built
- A brand site built on discretion: redacted guest stories, sealed past sittings and a four-step ritual
- Applications and accounts, with email or Google sign-in
- A private portal where selected guests find their invitation
- Terms, privacy, refund and shipping pages, the set Indian payment gateways ask for
- A cookie notice that keeps to essential cookies only
